I am pleased to announce a new business partnership with Spring Back of Colorado. Christopher Conway the president of the new Spring Back business has assumed the operations of dismantling, sorting and recycling the raw materials that are used in beds that are discarded from our non-profit organization. He shares the same goals of preserving our environment and of providing work opportunities to those who are seeking to re-enter the work place.

Christopher volunteered six weeks of his own time to Enviro-Recycle to make the transition. During that time he assessed our current operations and facility and we have now closed the operations at the National Western Drive Business Park. He has opened a 6000 square foot facility at a Business Park located on Brighton Boulevard in Denver. Christopher brings years of experience as an independent business owner and a custom home-builder to this new operation. Bedding may be dropped off at his new location Monday – Thursday. I want to thank Willie Blawer for his service to this cause and the great effort he made to start-up a new operations center. He has moved on to continue building his own business, Smart Enterprises. Facts about Mattress Recycling

Mattresses take up to 23 cubic feet each in a landfill. Multiply this by the more than 300 mattresses that are tossed out daily. That is over 6,900 cubic feet per day!

Mattresses are dangerous to landfills because they do not compact and the metal springs damage machinery.

95% of the material in mattresses is recyclable:

Metal springs can be recycled and the steel reused.
Polyurethane foam can be shredded and used for carpet pads and insulation.
Wood in foundations can be processed by wood chippers used for fuel or mulch.

Find a recycling center near you to help keep worn metal beds out of land-fills.
